After taking a few weeks to recover, the M&M Trip students and leaders are ready to speak out about the life-changing moments they had on their trip to Washington, D.C. and New York. Join us as we celebrate the high points of the trip, watch the trip video, and hear testimony of where we saw God in action as part of a special Wednesday Night Live Dinner in the FLC from 5:30 PM—7:30 PM on July 30th. Dinner will feature NY Style Pizza by Chef Tim and his crew. Prices are $9 for adults and $2 for students.
Please join us for great music, performed by some of New Mexico's finest musicians, up close and personal! The last Thursday Evening Musicale of 2014 will be presented on July 31 at 7:30 PM in the Choir Room. Tickets ($20 for adults and $10 for students) are available on the Thursday Evening Musicales Website. All proceeds will benefit Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless. Please bring donations of sunscreen and socks for ABQHCH clients.
This Sunday, look for the red canopy outside the east doors. We will start sign-ups for working at the Fair. Pie parties continue each Tuesday morning in the church kitchen at 8:30 AM. Contact Doris Bowen (299-6570) for more information.
Actung! The First Sunday Lunch for August will be moved to August 10th, the second Sunday of August. The move is to accommodate scheduling with the Food Ministry and is just for August. First Sunday Lunch will return to the First Sunday in September. The menu for August 10th will be an international tour featuring German Rolladen (Beef & Bacon Roll) and Fijian Fish & Coconut Casserole. Dankeschön. Bis Dann!
The Memory Café will meet on Saturday, August 9th, at 3:30 PM in the SonShine Café. Our theme is travel, so bring in pictures from your trips away from Albuquerque to share with us. We might even travel to a faraway place together on that day! The Memory Café is for those with dementia and their care partners, as well as those interested in expanding the dementia care culture. No reservations are necessary and there is no fee.
The next Jazz Vespers will be held this Saturday, August 9th, at 5:00 PM in the sanctuary. Jazz Vespers is a unique, meditative worship service that features some of New Mexico's best professional jazz musicians. This service is held on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Free childcare is available. Everyone is invited; come as you are!
St. John's United Methodist Church is dedicated to helping you take the next step in growing your relationship with God. Living life as a Christian is an ongoing journey, not a destination.
If you are exploring a relationship with God for the first time, or have already made the commitment, St. John's invites you to be a part of this journey with us. We offer a variety of opportunities for you to connect with God, self, and others.
Wherever you are in life, you are welcome at any of our three weekend experiences. Sunday at 9:30 AM in the Family Life Center, we have our Contemporary Worship Service. At 8:15 AM and 11:00 AM on Sundays, we hold our organ and choir traditional services in the Sanctuary.
