Holy Week Service

On Thursday, April 2nd, at 7:30 PM in the Sanctuary, you are invited to join us for a special service of prayer and contemplation.

The Chancel Choir will perform “Return to Me,” a beautiful multi-movement cantata by Taylor Davis, featuring cellist Joel Becktell and pianist Maribeth Gunning.

Please note - Because of a heartbreaking loss at St. John’s, Santa Fe, the choir has made the decision to move our Holy Week service to Thursday and join them on Good Friday.

Jolly Elders

Bring your dish to share and your own table setting and join the Jolly Elders on Wednesday, April 8th, in Rooms 245/257 before noon for food, fun, and a fascinating presentation and demonstration by Roger Eaton, titled “From Wood to Violins and Guitars.”

Since retiring from Sandia Labs and UNM, Roger has been busy making musical instruments (4 violins, 1 viola, 1 bass, and 4 guitars). As guest speaker, Roger will demonstrate how he started with a cherry tree and ended up with a guitar, and how he used Oregongrown maple and spruce to make violins. As if that would not be enough, Roger will sing, play, and not dance.
