Raising Children with Differences

On Wednesday, May 6th, from 6:00 PM—7:00 PM in Rooms 149/151, Dr. Rush Pierce will lead a discussion and explore the family, social, ethical, and religious implications of raising children who are profoundly different than ourselves: children with deafness, dwarfism, Down’s Syndrome, and autism. To what extent should we accept these children for who they are and to what extent should we seek medical options to try to fix their disabilities?

We will discuss these issues and others raised by Andrew Solomon in his New York Times Bestselling book, “Far From the Tree.” Come and join us!
