Since 2005, Thursday Evening Musicales have raised almost $35,000 for Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless. Proceeds from tickets sales benefit that organization in their entirety.

Musicales will be held July 2, 9, 16, and 23, and start at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $20 ($10 for students). For a listing of musicians, and to purchase tickets, go to www.thursdayeveningmusicales.org.

Jolly Elders

The next meeting of Jolly Elders will be on July 8th. We’re honored to have Staff Sergeant Jim Stanek here to tell us about a program called Paws and Stripes.

It’s the amazing story of how dogs from local rescue shelters are helping veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries. One special dog, named Sarge, helped Jim regain his life. Now Jim is helping other veterans.

Bring a covered dish to share and your own table service (plate, glass, and eating utensils). Jolly Elders meets at 12:00 PM on the second floor of the Educational Building.
